New Home Builder in Bennington, NE

Bennington is one of the fastest-growing communities northwest of Omaha — and for good reason. It sits at the edge of the metro with easy access to Dodge Street and Highway 36, yet feels genuinely removed from city noise. Families relocating here cite the Bennington School District, the open acreage, and proximity to Flanagan Lake as top reasons they chose this area over comparable suburbs.

Regency Homes has been building in this part of Nebraska for over 60 years. We’ve put more than 6,000 homes in the ground across the Omaha metro, and Bennington is where we currently have three active communities — each at a different price point, in a different school district, with different views.

If you’re comparing builders, here’s what matters: we’re not a national volume builder running the same floor plan everywhere. Our Trilogy Collection and semi-custom options let you choose a plan, then adjust — layout, finishes, structural upgrades — before a single nail goes in. Our in-house design team, sales team, and construction superintendents work together on the same build, which cuts down on the miscommunication that causes delays on most new construction projects.

Which community is right for you?

Anchor View is the standout choice if outdoor access is a priority. It overlooks Flanagan Lake — a 220-acre lake with 730 acres of public recreation land — and sits in the highly regarded Elkhorn School District. Homes here back to walking and biking trails, and families with kids will find sports fields and playgrounds built into the neighborhood design. If you want a lot with a view and room to get outside without driving anywhere, this is it.

Kempten Creek at 165th Street and Bennington Road hits the sweet spot for buyers who want a Bennington address in the Bennington School District without the premium that lake-view lots carry. Adjacent to a regional park, with open view lots available, it works well for buyers who want space but want to keep the budget in check.

Newport Vista is built for buyers who want the full package: Bennington school access, a nature reserve adjacent to the community, and direct views of Bennington Lake from select lots. The Bennington school is across the street — as close to the school as you can get in a new neighborhood.

Call us at 402-256-5727 and we can walk you through current lot availability in all three communities.

Why Build New in Bennington?

Bennington’s population has grown steadily over the last decade, driven by young families priced out of west Omaha’s older established neighborhoods. Median sale prices for new construction in the area run approximatelystarting in the mid-$300s  to $600s, giving buyers more square footage per dollar than comparable neighborhoods closer to the Omaha city core.

The commute picture is straightforward: 168th Street connects directly to West Dodge Road, putting you inside the I-680 loop in under 25 minutes during normal traffic. For buyers who work along the West Dodge corridor — Millard, Elkhorn, or the Regency/Dodge area — Bennington is genuinely close.

Public recreation in the area includes Standing Bear Lake and Lake Flanagan, both within a short drive and offering boating, fishing, and trail access year-round. It’s not the kind of thing you find in a newer subdivision south of Omaha.

Why Regency Homes

We’ve been building homes in Nebraska since 1962. That’s not a marketing claim — it means we’ve weathered enough economic cycles, supply chain problems, and subcontractor shortages to have a team that knows how to keep a build moving when things get complicated.

Our process is built around a dedicated construction superintendent assigned to your home from breaking ground to walk-through. They’re the person you call, they’re the person who answers, and they’re the person who’s on site when your subcontractors are working. Most buyers who’ve built with a national production builder tell us this is the biggest difference they notice.

Our team includes an in-house design and estimating department, which means your upgrade selections and pricing are handled before you sign — not after you’re committed and the surprises start.
