Bedroom Trends We’re Loving

Wallpaper – Remember back in the 80s when all the walls were covered in floral or geometric designs? Well, wallpaper is back, and it’s better than ever. Today’s designs are simple or chaotic, depending on your taste. They can be muted or bold. Aren’t ready to commit all four walls? Considering doing only one wall in paper as an accent. If you get tired of the look you can repaint the other three walls and change it up.

Peaceful Spaces – Our bedrooms should be a tranquil place. Use soft colors and lighting to create a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. Decorate with flowers and scents to create an oasis for all your senses. If you have kids, do your best to keep them out of your one true space in the home.

Multi Use – Bedrooms are for so much more than sleeping these days. Many couples incorporate spaces in the bedroom for reading, exercising and even eating. Coffee bars are hot right now, and they’re easy to implement.

Unplug – Many homeowners are opting to unplug in one room of the house, and that usually means the bedroom. Including TV, cell phone, games, tablets, laptop or even carrier pigeon, people want a place in their home where they can unwind and unplug.

Custom HeadboardsCheck out Pinterest for some great custom headboard ideas that you could even DIY if you were so inclined. Often times a custom headboard can be had for less than one at the store. Bonus is it’s as unique as you are.

Bucking the Trends – One of the greatest thing about the trends in bedrooms in 2017 is that there is no real trend. These decor ideas aren’t going to be dated in 3 or 4 years. These design trendsĀ are actually classic ideas just waiting for you to try.
